Bandeau is a complex ribbon with a soft sheen, like an unpolished apple. The structure is actually three parallel tubes, each stuffed with cotton batting to produce a continuous pillow. Held up to the light you can still see through all of this in places, which makes an interesting play of transparency and opacity.
